Wadah
K
hanfar, head of Aljazeera resigned. Some link his resignation to a
Wikileaks document that claims he censored some content following US
pressure.
I wish not to comment on this, but to state (based on meeting
Wadah and working for Aljazeera for nearly 2 years) that he has done Arab
media a great service; he was a capable journalist, and a proficient
media manger.
The types of daily pressures that he had to cope with were
simply incredible. He persevered, and for 8 years, this Palestinian man
was at the helm of a media revolution that changed the face of media,
not only in the Middle East, but the world over.
