At first when I heard this I couldn't believe my ears. What a
pathetic excuse for killing people, but then, desperate times demand
desperate measures. The Empire is in disarray!
According to the NATO spokesman Colonel Roland Lavoie the bombings were necessary because,
"…[Libyan state television] was
being used as an integral component of the regime apparatus designed to
systematically oppress and threaten civilians and to incite attacks
against them,"

critical satellite dishes will reduce the regime's ability to oppress
civilians while at the same time preserving television broadcast
infrastructure that will be needed after the conflict," he said." - '

So what is the state broadcaster alleged to be saying? 'Go out and
kill your fellow Libyans'? 'Oppress them with words and pictures'? Aside
from the ludicrous assertion made by these NATO halfwits it reveals a
desperate Empire now caught between a rock and a hard place as the
'rebels' fall out and kill their military leader. And where is the proof
of the allegations that Libyan TV "oppress[es] and threaten[s]
civilians"?
This is the same civilian population that Gaddafi
distributed 1 million AK-47s to so you'd think it would be the Libyans
would be shooting up Libyan state TV if NATO's asinine allegations had
any truth to them.
Of course Libyan TV broadcasts propaganda, that's part of its
function just like the BBC or any other state controlled broadcaster. I
have referred
before to the BBC's glorification of war with its numerous video promos of 'our boys and girls' bombing the defenceless of the world.

According to NATO's assessment the BBC should also be Tomahawked for
inciting the population to support the bombing and terrorizing of the
Libyan people.
And I venture to say that the timing of the attempt to silence
Libya's electronic media is in part a response to the rebels
assassination of its own military leader Younes and the excellent PR it
gave the Libyan state. The Telegraph article summed it up its headline when it wrote that the Libyan "regime taunts Britain".
Yet another embarrassing multi-million dollar failure, paid for by
us, the other bunch of halfwits. The airstrikes failed to silence Libyan
tv transmissions which have continued virtually without a break. So
where to now Pirates of the Mediterranean?
