David Suzuki Too Busy for the CDF, Canada's Most Endangered Ecosystem
by Salmon are Sacred
Nor
is David too busy to promote 'sustainable' salmon farming standards via
the 'Salmon Aquaculture Dialogue' in more meetings with Marine Harvest,
the BC Salmon Farmers Association and Canadian Aquaculture Industry
Alliance (http://www.davidsuzuki.org/issues/oceans/science/sustainable-fisheries-and-aquaculture/what-is-aquaculture/index.php).
Yet
David was too busy to join the Get Out Migration walk down Vancouver
Island last year with Alexandra Morton (even though we visited his home
turf on Quadra Island) – or join the rally in Victoria. And David was
too busy to support the Paddle for Wild Salmon.
And I guess David is once again too busy to support 'Mayday for Wild Salmon' (
www.salmonaresacred.org) – which once again features a visit to Quadra Island (25
th April) and a 'crime scene' at Norwegian-owned salmon farms in the Wild Salmon Narrows around Quadra Island (
http://www.salmonaresacred.org/calendar).
Shame on you David Suzuki. Your words - "I don't believe any movement should depend on one or two people to make the difference" – contrast with Margaret Mead's famous quote: "Never
doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change
the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever does".
Ingmar – Alexandra Morton will be speaking also on Saltspring Island on 8th May along with Rafe Mair and Damien Gillis (http://www.salmonaresacred.org/calendar).
Please join us walking from Sidney to Victoria on May Day (1
st May) – you can be sure that David Suzuki will be too busy to join us but thousands of other wild salmon people will be there:
