In front of the Canadian Forces Recruitment Centre there will also be a rally for Peace and Justice, demanding that the Canadian government immediately bring the troops home from Afghanistan and stop supporting imperialist invasions, wars and occupations.

Dr. Ben Isitt speaks about the 1918 Canadian Army Mutiny here in Victoria. Were these recruits timid and aimless "slackers" looking for paychecks and romance in ports of call--until their fantasy ran dry? Or were they conscious and principled patriots making a difficult choice?
