FIVE DAYS TO SAVE OUR COAST: We have five days
to build support for a law banning West Cost tanker traffic
by Fin Donnelly MP
Yesterday, Parliament debated a New Democrat motion calling on the federal government to immediately legislate a ban on oil supertankers off
British Columbia’s sensitive northern coast.
This motion is modeled on
my Private Member’s Bill (C-502) which would ban dangerous oil tanker
traffic in the Dixon Entrance, Hecate Strait and Queen Charlotte Sound.
Yesterday’s New Democrat Opposition Day motion will be voted on by Members of Parliament on Tuesday,
December 7th.
We need your help to ensure MPs hear your voice and protect BC’s ecologically significant north coast.
Over the next five days, take one easy action every day leading up to the vote.
Please take a moment to sign up
and be a part of the movement to permanently protect one of Canada’s
greatest ecological treasures.

support we need to pass this motion.
