A Note to Pacific Free Press Readers
by C. L. Cook l Managing editor PFP
A brief note to you good readers who have made the site a stronger presence, especially in these last couple of months. Our circulation has almost doubled since Summer, averaging more than 40,000 unique visits monthly. It's not CNN, but I believe most of you are happy about that.
Along with our growing popularity comes our growing unpopularity with all the right people.
In the last month, we've seen a number of service interruptions, but our crack staff of computer geniuses has met every challenge so far. A few of our features have been shut down while we seek safer ways to keep the site running. The latest of these is the 'comments' section. We still want to hear from you, so please have patience while we get this feature back up and running, more nearly impregnable to malicious manipulation than ever before.
And a reminder: The site has more than 7,000 articles on all manner of things available. If you want to look back at a topic in the news, check out the search function.
cheers
