speakers will be present for discussion following the documentary film.
It examines the overthrow of Haiti's democratically elected government
in 2004, and the resulting destabilization which greatly exaggerates
the humanitarian disaster following the January 12 2010 earthquake.
The
forum on Sunday will feature a medical doctor with Zanmi Lasante, the
leading medical organization in Haiti and a partner of the
internationally acclaimed Partners In Health agency founded by Dr. Paul
Farmer, and Roger Annis, a coordinator of the Canada Haiti Action
Network.
Admission to the film is by recommended donation to
Pender Island Film Society $5. Admission to the discussion on Sunday is
free, or donations accepted for Partners in Health. More information at
