Who Will Answer Kelly
"Suicide" Questions?
by C. L. Cook
July 17th, 2003, British biowarfare scientist, Dr. David Kelly was found dead in a park. Kelly had been at the centre of a scandal involving the claims of Saddam Hussein's biological weapons threat posed to the world. The claims made by the governments of Tony Blair and George W. Bush were used as a justification to launch a pre-emptive war against Iraq.
Kelly: Friends and the media calling again for an honest inquiry into his mysterious 2003 death.
Kelly blew the whistle on that claim, but before he could fully explain himself, he wound up dead. The Hutton Inquiry was called, a hasty and highly irregular process of discovery, and set into motion in Britain to determine the cause of Dr. Kelly's death. Its findings contend, Kelly died of self-inflicted knife wound to his wrist, consistent with an attempt at suicide.
That finding was thought dubious at its inception, and remain so today. Now, a London newspaper has released its report calling into question both the methods and the findings of Hutton, threatening to bring a larger and more revealing scandal back from the grave of Dr. David Kelly.
