This Week on Gorilla Radio
by C. L. Cook
This Week: Ellen Hodgson Brown is a civil litigation attorney, practicing in Los
Angeles, and author of eleven books, the latest of which, Web of Debt
deals with the American Federal Reserve, a money trust, private cartel
that she says has usurped the authority to create money from the state.
Ellen Hodgson Brown in the first half.
Kelly Dunn is a midwife and board member of the Virginia-based, Mother
Health International. The charity sent a team to Jacmel, Haiti in the
days following the massive quake, and they are now the only midwifery
clinic serving the stricken Caribbean island nation.
Kelly Dunn and the
birthing of a nation in the second half.
And; Victoria Street
Newz publisher and CFUV broadcaster, Janine Bandcroft has been tracking
the progress of local activists and those who traveled to Toronto for
the G20 and will join us at the bottom of the hour with news from
Victoria and beyond. But first, Ellen Hodgson-Brown and practicing the
tangled web of financial deceit.
Chris Cook hosts Gorilla Radio, airing live every Monday, 5-6pm Pacific Time. In Victoria at 101.9FM, 104.3 cable, and on the internet at: http://cfuv.uvic.ca. There is more to the G20 meetings currently underway in Toronto than rubber bullets and busted heads. While the brutality of the police, and abrogation of the country's Charter of Rights and Freedoms may make sexy television pictures for the likes of corporate and state propagandists, the broader issue of just what the finance wizards meeting there are planning for you and me are being overshadowed. In case you missed it; behind the smoke bombs and teargas clouds, the eminent ministers visiting are preparing perhaps the largest austerity package ever seen; it promises to be global in scope and will likely provoke a market meltdown the likes of which has never been seen.

And; nearly six months have passed since the January earthquake that rocked Haiti to its foundations. Hundreds of thousands have perished, while millions more remain without adequate shelter or basic infrastructure. As is most usually the case, women and children suffer most in these kinds of disasters, but for expectant Haitian women the attendant fears of birthing a child in poverty are compounded now, imperiling both their and their baby's survival as never before.
