Gorilla Radio with Chris Cook, Jon Elmer, Terry Wolfwood, Janine Bandrcoft Mon. June 21, 2010
written by Chris Cook
This Week on Gorilla Radio
by C. L. Cook
This week on GR: In response to the global outcry against the massacre of nine known human rights activists aboard the Turkish cruise ship, Mavi Marmara, the Israeli government has said it will loosen its hold, allowing a broader list of products pass its checkpoints along the Gaza border; but, it's not enough for activists and governments opposing the illegal blockade.

At this moment, ships from Iran, Turkey, Lebanon, and Europe are preparing to try the Israeli navy, daring them to attack civilians with deadly force again.

Jon Elmer is a Bethlehem-based journalist and photojournalist who has lived in and reported from Occupied Palestine over the past decade. He is the creator fo the news websites, From Occupied Palestine and JonElmer.com. Jon Elmer in the first half.

And; Victoria-based peace and human rights activist, Terry Wolfwood is just returned from the 5th Annual Bil'in Conference of Popular Committees for Non-violent Resistance Against the Wall and the Occupation of Palestine. She was a member of the Canadian delegation, and representative of the Barnard-Boecker Centre Foundation.

Terry Wolfwood and the call for solidarity with Palestinians in the second half.

And; Victoria Street Newz publisher and CFUV broadcaster, Janine Bandcroft will join us at the bottom of the hour to keep us apprized of the Newz worthy in and around our fair city at the bottom of the hour. But first, Jon Elmer, live from Occupied Palestine.

Three weeks have passed since Israel's deadly pre-dawn raid against the six ships of the Free Gaza Flotilla and little and everything has changed. Gaza sits yet behind the steel curtain of the Israeli Defense Forces blockade that has, for the last three years, slowly strangled the life out of the people.
