5:00:00 2:00 Welcome to GR, etc. It’s been more than five years of worry, waiting, and fighting for the return of their daughter from a Peruvian prison for the Berenson family. In December of 1995, freelance journalist, Lori Berenson was arrested by Peru’s notorious secret police. A year later, she was convicted of treason by a secret military tribunal and sentenced to life in prison. That sentence was later overturned by the country’s Supreme Military Council and a retrial ordered.
