Leaked: Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement
by Michael Majors
The agreement evinces a corporate wish list for beneficial interests in the land far greater than the opportunity currently conveyed in tenures to operate forest products businesses.
The so-called enviro engos support corporate wishes against public and First Nations' interests in return for solely emblematic reform of wilderness exploitation.
The model for the CBFA agreement seems more like the Fake-Environmental Mountain Caribou Initiative than the GBR deal. Perhaps when the maps and appendices become available the whole package could be distributed on WikiLeaks.
