Another Canadian Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

Lt. Andrew Richard Nuttall was killed in action
in Afghanistan on Wednesday. (DND)
Nuttall and a soldier of the Afghan National Army (ANA) were both killed while on foot patrol when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) detonated. An interpreter was also wounded in the attack near the village of Nakhonay, Panjwaii District.
Nuttall's body was repatriated Christmas Eve following a ramp ceremony at Kandahar Airfield.
Lieutenant Andrew Richard Nuttall was attached to the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, based out of Edmonton and was the oldest son of Jane and Dr. Richard Nuttall of Victoria. He was 30 years old.
He is the 134th Canadian soldier killed in Afghanistan since 2002. Two Canadian aid workers and one diplomat have too lost their lives since Canada's "Mission" began there.
