Remembering Peace in Victoria

Hello friends; it is that time of year again, when we reflect on the terrors of war, our constant vigilance against fascism, and to re-affirm our commitments to peace and justice. 

 

There will be a gathering, as there is every year, at the foot of the Spanish Civil War memorial (on Menzies, near Belleville) beginning at 10:30. 

 

Following the conclusion of the memorial (aprox 11:30), the Island Solidarity Centre will host a free lunch followed by a selection of excellent Spanish Civil War movies and documentaries. 

 

Discussion to follow both lunch and each film. 

 

The lunch and movies will be held at the BCGEU hall, at 2994 Douglas St.
