Another Canadian Soldier Killed in Afghanistan
Canada's state broadcaster, the CBC is reporting that country's 132 nd soldier killed in Afghanistan today. Lieutenant Justin Garrett Boyes died at approximately 9am local time near Kandahar City. Two other Canadians were wounded, and are listed in good condition, when Boyes apparently triggered a mine during a foot patrol.

Lt. Boyes was attached to the 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. Boyes was 26 years old, and less than two weeks into his second deployment in Afghanistan. He is survived by his wife Alanna and their three year old son, James.
Two Canadian aid workers and one diplomat have too been killed in Afghanistan.
The CBC quotes Canadian Forces Brigadier-General, Jonathan Vance saying of Boyes [he was] a dedicated family man who spent every possible moment with his wife and son.
"Growing up in Saskatchewan, he was an easy-going Prairie boy who preferred sitting around the backyard with good friends, his family and a cold drink."
