US Media & the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
written by Press Release
Peace, Propaganda & The Promised Land: US Media & The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
by TRNN
Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land is a film that provides a comparison of U.S. and international media coverage of the crisis in the Middle East, zeroing in on how structural distortions in U.S. coverage have reinforced false perceptions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

This pivotal documentary exposes how the foreign policy interests of American political elites--oil, and a need to have a secure military base in the region, among others--work in combination with Israeli public relations strategies to exercise a powerful influence over how news from the region is reported.

Excellent piece. I can only hope that at least some of the people seeing this will catch on to the real point of the film - Our mainstream Media are all about creating an imaginary world bereft of reality. Where the acts of ourselves and allies, no matter how aggregious and no matter how many innocent people are robbed and killed, are all justified in the name of peace. Our media don't just lie about Israel and Palestine, they lie about health care, they lie about unemployment, they lie about immigration, they lie about everything every day. Sometimes its a small lie, other times its huge, mostly its the lie of ommission. If you get your "News" from the mainstream media then you are completely enslaved to the monied elites.
