Holding Corporations Accountable
by corpwatch.org
CorpWatch's vision is to promote human, environmental and worker rights at the local, national and global levels by making corporate practices more transparent and holding corporations accountable for their actions. During 2009 we will continue a special focus on building our new and innovative wiki web site, www.Crocody.org, Collaborative Research On Corporations.
Crocodyl is an evolving online compendium of critical corporate research, tracking the accountability records of the world's largest multinationals.
A global North-South project and resource, are currently honing in on financial and extractive industry companies:

As independent investigative journalists, we provide critical information to foster a more informed public and effective democracy. The current global financial crisis has served to put corporations and issues like regulation, oversight, subsidies and executive compensation back into a sharp public spotlight; at the same time, consumers, investors and even job seekers are increasingly seeking accurate, critical information about multinational corporations and their accountability track records. We're providing answers.
CorpWatch does not solicit or accept corporate or government funding. Like so many other non-profits, we too are being affected by the financial crisis, including the Madoff scandal (albeit to a lesser extent than others. CW had just finished work under a grant from the JEHT Foundation.) Thank you for supporting us as generously as you can.
Please support our work today with a gift of $5, $10, $25, $50 or more! (It's tax-deductible...)
