More than seven years along, and we still don't know what the hell is going on because of what happened that day. For seven long years, the world has heard one lie after the other, lies that start endless wars, lies that kill and maim and cast uncounted millions to the wolves of misfortune. Why has this horror begun, and who can we look to to take the blame?

The American psyche was shaken September eleventh, but the real damage, the shattering of the both the myth and promise of America came in the days and weeks following the attacks, where a coordinated media campaign was launched to in turn baffle and terrify the population.

Mike Palecek is an American author, activist, and determined skeptic. Some of his book titles include: 'Killing George Bush,(KGB)' 'Looking for Bigfoot,' and 'Iowa Terror.' His latest book, 'Guests of the Nation' questions the assumptions of post-9/11 America from the ground up, where the effect of the new Homeland Security State intersects the everyday pursuits of the hoi polloi. Mike Palecek in the first segment.

And; Gorilla Radio went down to the Canada Out of Afghanistan demonstration Saturday. At the bottom of the hour a few minutes marking the seventh anniversary of Canada's doomed mission in that benighted nation.

And; last week, a long awaited decision by the B.C. Supreme court acknowledging the basic right to shelter was handed down in Victoria. The decision was greeted as a great victory for human rights and homelessness activists across the nation, where homeless populations are growing fast, but Victoria City Police were quick to dash cold water on the celebrations, arresting five "campers" and confiscating their shelters and belongings just 24 hours later. Cathy Boies-Parker was one of two Victoria lawyers labouring for years to bring the constitutional challenge through B.C.'s courts, and she'll be here in the second half to guide us through the legal machinations behind the case.

And; Janine Bandcroft continues to honour the picket outside the CFUV studios at the University of Victoria's Student Union Building, where a strike by UVSS workers is entering its eighth week. But first, Mike Palecek on the welcome and unwelcome Guests of the Nation.
