This Week on GR
by C. L. Cook
This week; Dr. Shaun Peck on getting rid of Victoria's crap; Rowland Morgan exploring 9/11's unexplained incongruities; Bec McGuire and building from the earth on the earth; and Janine Bandcroft bringing us up to speed on the good things to do in and around town this week.
Chris Cook hosts Gorilla Radio, airing live every Monday, 5-6pm Pacific Time. In Victoria at 101.9FM, 104.3 cable, and on the internet at: http://cfuv.uvic.ca . He also serves as a contributing editor to the web news site, www.pacificfreepress.com . And, you can check out the GR blog at: http://GorillaRadioBlog.blogspot.com
It's
been a contentious issue here in Victoria for decades now, but after
myriad studies and counter-studies, the fate of the city's sewage is
still up in the air. Dr. Shaun Peck is the past Medical Health Officer
for the Capital Region District, and now chairs Responsible Sewage
Treatment Victoria. RSTV runs counter to the conventional wisdom
currently emanating the CRD and City Hall. Shaun Peck addressing
Victoria's offal mess in the first segment.
And; this weekend,
Vancouver will host a 9/11 Truth Conference that will see scientists
and other skeptics of the official story of the events of that infamous
date gather to present and discuss alternate theories of just what did
happen on "the day that changed everything," and what those changes
mean to our lives and democracy around the world. Rowland Morgan is an
artist, former journalist and current author whose titles include:
'9/11 Revealed,' and 'Flight 93 Revealed.' He will be appearing at the
9/11 conference to present the latest results of his research later
this. Rowland Morgan on ringing bells and impossible cells in the
second segment.
And; Vancouver Island is in the middle of a
building boom like none witnessed in the last three decades and more
that I've lived here. Sadly, 99% of the construction follows the same
old, wasteful patterns we've become all too familiar with here. Bec
McGuire is an Australian eco-activist currently teaching people how to
build alternative housing in Courtney. Bev McGuire, cobbling together
shelter in the third segment.
And; Janine Bandcroft will be here
too, to bring us up to speed with all that's good to do in and around
Victoria in the coming week. But first, Dr. Shaun Peck and the fallout
on treating Victoria's outfall.
