'Rally and march for Social and Economic Justice'

If you support the #Occupy movement, please come out, with signs, noise makers and friends, to tomorrow's rally and march. 12 noon at Centennial Square!    
 
Nov. 5th is International Bank Transfer Day, which seeks to "shift our funds from the for-profit banking institutions in favor of not-for-profit credit unions, sending a clear message that conscious consumers won't support companies with unethical business practices. It's time to invest in local community growth!"

Event Description: The People's Assembly of Victoria (Occupy Victoria)  invites you to our Rally for Social and Economic Injustice.
Featured presentations:
 
"A Canada that Works for all Generations" by Dr. Paul Kershaw, one of Canada's leading thinkers on family policy. UBC.
"Know Your Rights, All Three of Them: Capitalism and Social Justice" by Dr. William Carroll, Director of Social Justice Studies program, UVic.
 
"The Injustice of the Punishment Agenda" by Jared Giesbrecht, PhD candidate in law, UVic. and others...
 
The rally will be followed by an "Occupy the Banks" march, at 1:20 pm, with 2 songs by the Raging Grannies
 
Why?

On Nov 5th we come together in Centennial Square and focus our attention on the banking system and Economic Injustice, to dream up alternatives, and if you feel so inclined perform your own bank transfer!
 
We encourage people to bring signs, noise makers, music and food.
