David Orchard is a farmer, political reformer, activist, and author. His book, 'The Fight for Canada: Four Centuries of Resistance to American Expansionism' details a persistent, and pernicious campaign carried out by successive U.S. administrations to annex Canada's natural resources, political discourse, and economic life. Mike Palecek has been on the inside and outside of walls and fences; gentle listener, you may recall mention here of friend Mike's failed attempt to enter Canada for the purpose of promoting his latest book, barred, as a growing multitude are, access to the country from his native America. Fitting, considering the themes explored in his novel, 'The American Dream,' which paint a dystopic near-future portrait of an America suffering terminal post-economic stress disorder, manifest as mad fascism run off the rails.
